IAE Paris-Est draws on a university heritage spanning more than forty years. In 1978, the first management programmes were launched at Paris-Est Créteil University, gradually expanding into multiple fields of management. The creation of the Institut de Recherche en Gestion (IRG) in 1989, along with the early introduction of apprenticeship programmes, illustrates a longstanding commitment to linking academic research with professional development.
In 2006, the institution joined the national IAE FRANCE network, consolidating its position as a university school of management. Subsequent institutional developments and inter-university partnerships led to the official creation of IAE Paris-Est by ministerial decree in 2022, strengthening its autonomy, visibility and influence. Today, across its three Greater Paris campuses—Créteil, Marne-la-Vallée and Sénart—IAE Paris-Est welcomes more than 1,700 students and offers a broad range of management programmes, from bachelor’s degrees to PhDs.
